ABOUT DCE
DCE is the first organization to integrate business systems design, municipal economic development, and long-term impact tracking into a single framework.
Our Approach
We specialize in breakthrough techniques and emphasize rich participant involvement in all our workshops and retreats. We employ accelerated learning technologies and integration methods to ensure participants learn faster, retain more, and achieve maximum results in the shortest possible time. Our dynamic approach engages participants deeply, helping them apply what they learn to their unique circumstances immediately.
We work primarily with family-owned businesses, community economic development teams, local government, and nonprofit leaders. Whether you’re a business owner, civic leader, or workforce developer, if you’re passionate about sustainable economic growth, you’re in the right place.
How do the workshops create real-world impact?
These aren’t one-off events. Every workshop is part of a broader process that builds community capacity. Participants learn to diagnose business and community challenges using the Possibility Heatmap, co-create solutions using proven frameworks like The Possibility Process, and leave with practical tools they can implement immediately.
Are these workshops customizable?
Yes. We adapt our programs to the needs of the community or organization. Whether it’s a 90-minute session, a full-day intensive, or a multi-week facilitated journey, we meet you where you are—and help you get where you want to go.
How do I bring a workshop to my community or organization?
Start by filling out the inquiry formand scheduling a discovery call with our lead facilitator. We’ll explore your goals, assess your community’s readiness, and co-design a workshop that creates the momentum you need.
How are these workshops funded? Is there a cost to participate?
Workshops are often funded by local governments, chambers, business associations, or nonprofit sponsors who want to strengthen local economic resilience. Organizers can choose to offer the workshop at no cost to participants or charge a nominal fee—typically $50–$150 per business. A small fee helps ensure participants are serious about showing up and implementing what they learn. We’re happy to collect fees on behalf of the organizers and deduct them from the final invoice.
How can our organization procure your services?
We make it easy to bring a DCE Community Workshop to your area. Our lead facilitator is a pre-qualified vendor listed in multiple service categories on the SAP Ariba Network, widely used by governments and institutions for procurement. Whether you’re a municipal official, community organizer, or event planner, we’ll work with you to align procurement processes, customize the workshop, and deliver results. Flexible, professional, and impact-driven—that’s how we work.
